Another new shopping center may be moving into the Market Common area in Myrtle Beach
A vacant lot along Farrow Parkway in Myrtle Beach could soon be home to a national restaurant chain.
Plans submitted last week by Greenville-based architecture firm Cor3 Design, LLC calls for the construction of a 7,000 square-foot building in the Farrow Commons shopping center that would house a veterinarian’s office and a restaurant. Project engineer Micah Smith told The Sun News the restaurant would be a national chain, but couldn’t specify which one.
“I’m not at liberty to say at the moment,” Smith said.
The proposed building, called Farrow Parkway Shops, would join the shopping complex currently occupied by Walmart Neighborhood Market and about a dozen other retail shops and restaurants near The Market Common area.
Smith said there’s currently no timeline for completion, explaining that the property owner has not given consent to authorize the construction of the two-tenant development. Smith said the landlord will make his decision if the application receives approval from the city’s Community Appearance Board.
The application is scheduled to go before the Community Appearance Board on Dec. 19
