Could a popular Grand Strand water park be closing? Here’s what we know

A cryptic message posted to its Facebook page Wednesday morning hinted that a popular Surfside Beach water park could be facing closure.

Wild Water & Wheels will not be selling 2020 season passes at this time, according to the post. With no other information listed, the post asserted the business’ commitment to the Surfside Beach and Grand Strand community.

“It is our desire to have Wild Water remain a part of this community and we are working toward that end and will release further information as it is available,” owner Mark Lazarus said in the post.

No other information was immediately available.
