Someone purchased a lottery ticket this weekend in Myrtle Beach and is $1 million richer, according to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
A winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Scotchman located at 3225 at 4101 Postal Way in Myrtle Beach for Saturday night’s drawing, officials said. The ticket matched the five white ball numbers drawn.
But the ticket holder did not purchase the Powerplay for an extra $1, so their prize will not be increased to $2 million, officials said. Numbers drawn in Saturday’s game were 8, 13, 18, 27, 43 and the Powerball was 15.
The odds of winning $1 million are 1 in 5,153,633.
