A director allegedly took $41,000 from non-profit, cops say. Now she’s behind bars.
The executive director of the Cultural Council of Georgetown County was arrested Tuesday for allegedly taking $41,000 from the council.
Leslie Michelle Ayres, 51, of Georgetown, was charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent after allegedly taking the money, according to a post on the Georgetown Police Department’s Facebook page.
Ayres turned herself into police this morning and is pending a bond hearing.
