Southbound Kings Highway temporarily shut down after cyclist hit

Southbound Kings Highway was closed at 5th Avenue North after a motorist hit a person on a bicycle Friday, according to Lt. Jonathan Evans with the Myrtle Beach fire department.

The victim was taken to Grand Strand Hospital, according to a reporter on the scene.

The reporter said road was unblocked around 3:30 p.m.
