HCFR respond to Loris-area house fire Thursday morning

Horry County Fire Rescue firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in the Loris area, Brian VanAernem, spokesman with HCFR, said.

Firefighters were called about 8 a.m. Thursday to home on Dupont Road, off Highway 410, and there is heavy fire throughout the house, VanAernem said.

Loris Fire Department workers were called out to assist HCFR crews battle the blaze.

VanAernem said he did not think anyone was evacuated from the home, but wasn’t sure on Thursday morning. No injuries have been reported in connection with the fire. VanAernem also said it was too early to determine the cause of the fire.
