Police respond to bank robbery in Little River
Horry County Police responded to an afternoon bank robbery in Little River on Wednesday.
The incident was reported at about 2:30 p.m. at the Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union along Highway 17. An officer on scene said a customer was taken by ambulance from the scene and was a little shaken. There were no other injuries in the incident.
The suspect brandished a handgun during the robbery. Officials said the suspect demanded money before fleeing on foot. A dog team helped search the area for the suspect.
Police have not released any description of the robbery suspect.
Officers taped off the entire parking lot with crime scene tape as the investigated the robbery.
