Teen shot in Loris

A 17-year-old was shot in Loris Wednesday night, according to news release from the Horry County Police Department.

Around 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call at 611 Bill Grissett Road, the release said. There they learned that a teen had been shot and taken to a local hospital.

Few details about the case have been released. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the police department at 843-248-1520 or the tip line at 843-915-TIPS (8477). Information on the tip line may be provided anonymously.
