Crash on Highway 701 at Yauhannah Bridge shuts down road

Two tractor trailers were involved in a crash that has shut down S.C. 701 at the Yauhannah Bridge, according to Horry County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Brian VanAernem.

VanAernem said the two trucks side-swiped each other and one of them overcorrected, causing it to jack knife.

The road is closed in both directions and officials hope it will be reopened by around 5:30 p.m.
