Rep. Tom Rice was on board train in Virginia crash
U.S. Rep. Tom Rice was on board a train with other congressional leaders that collided with a truck outside Charlottesville, Virginia, Rice said on Twitter Wednesday.
Rice and other Republican members of the U.S. House and Senate were on their way to a retreat in West Virginia when the Amtrak train they were riding in hit a garbage truck.

The Associated Press reported that none of the dozens of lawmakers on board were injured. At least one of the people in the truck was seriously injured, the AP reported.
“I was on board the train and am safe. Please join me in praying for those who were injured,” Rice said on Twitter.
