Part of U.S. 17 closed in North Myrtle Beach because of cut gas line
U.S. 17 in the area of White Point Road in North Myrtle Beach is closed after a commercial natural gas line was cut, city spokesman Pat Dowling said at noon Wednesday.
No one has been evacuated, Dowling said, and the wind is dissipating the gas quickly. A gas company crew is on the way to repair it, he said.
