A blaze at a Green Sea mobile home sent one man to the hospital Monday morning.

Horry County Fire Rescue firefighters battled the blaze after it swept through a double-wide trailer on the 3800 block of Green Sea Road, burning a man who was outside the home when crews arrived on scene, according to Mark Nugent, HCFR spokesman.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of burn injuries, and the home was a total loss after being gutted by the fire.

The home is close to the state line, and Tabor City Fire Department aided HCFR in fighting the blaze, Nugent said.
