New Chinese restaurant opens in North Myrtle Beach

Note: The official statement from Panda Express incorrectly identified the location of their new restaurant, which appeared in an earlier version of this article. The new location is in North Myrtle Beach, not Myrtle Beach.

Panda Express celebrated the opening of its new North Myrtle Beach location at 1598 North Kings Highway on Friday.

To commemorate the opening, the restaurant contributed 20 percent of the day’s profits to the Ocean Drive Elementary School, the chain restaurant said in a statement.

“We are honored to serve our delicious American Chinese comfort food to the residents of (North) Myrtle Beach,” said Sylvia Takacs, area coach of operations for Panda Express. “Anchored by our people-first values, we look forward to bringing quality service to the area as we continue to expand our East Coast presence.”

The new restaurant is expected to employee 20 people. Those interested in a position can apply online at this link.

This location will offer an array of the restaurant’s American Chinese dishes, including their orange chicken, sweetfire chicken breast and honey walnut shrimp for either dine in or drive-through service.
