Horry County police raising money for hospitalized officer
Horry County police officers have raised over $3,000 during no-shave November for the shop-with-a-cop program, according to a Horry County police tweet.
In a Facebook post, the department said the bearded officers will continue to raise money through December for Horry County police officer K.C. Canterbury, who is hospitalized in intensive care after suffering a traumatic heart injury on Nov. 23.
Canterbury is the president of the Fraternal Order of Police’s Coastal Carolina Lodge #12.
A YouCaring page has been set up to raise money for his hospital bills.
