Loris victim killed in multi-vehicle accident identified
The 84-year-old woman killed in a multi-vehicle crash last week has been identified as Wilhemina Cannon of Loris, according to Tony Hendrick, Horry County deputy coroner.
She died of injuries sustained in the Nov. 16 crash, Hendrick said. At least three others suffered injuries in the accident, according to reports by first responders.
The collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 701 and Cane Branch Road as Cannon crossed the intersection and struck a truck driven by Loris resident Leonard Warrens, said the report filed by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The two vehicles collided with a parked truck and also struck a gas pump at a nearby station.
