Healthy shake shop opening in North Myrtle Beach

A new Smoothie King will be blending soon in its first Grand Strand location at 115 Kings Highway in North Myrtle Beach.

The New Orleans-based franchise is already advertising in the new space near 2nd Avenue North, in the former Subway sandwich shop location.

The healthy shake chain has 800 locations worldwide, including the Cayman Islands and South Korea, and is the smoothie of choice for the New Orleans Pelicans, according to the company’s website.

The juice bar prepares different blends of fruits, nuts and vegetables for fitness, weight loss, and wellness. Their smoothies don’t contain high fructose corn syrup or trans fat, the company says.

The company could not be reached for comment to determine the opening date.
