Mark McBride last to participate in The Sun New’s Facebook Live town halls
Myrtle Beach mayoral candidate Mark McBride closed out The Sun New’s Facebook Live Q&A sessions Friday afternoon.
Throughout the week mayoral candidates C.D. Rozsa, Brenda Bethune and Ed Carey participated in the sessions, tackling key issues such as public safety and the Superblock properties. Incumbent Mayor John Rhodes declined the invitation.
Throughout the interview, McBride stuck to his plan of adding 100 officers sooner rather than later, stating that the appearance of officers in the community will help to solve crime.
For the Superblock properties, McBride hopes to make the area an incubator for tech businesses, which in turn will diversify the economy.
When asked why he would be the best candidate he said: “Of the slate that’s available I have unparalled experience and knowledge of having done this. I’ve gone through $1.2 billion worth of city budgets.”
