This is how much your top city officials make each year

The City of Myrtle Beach has about 250 employees who make more than $50,000, according to city records.

Among the top 20 on the list are John Pedersen, Myrtle Beach city manager, Warren Gall, former Myrtle Beach police chief, Amy Prock, current police chief, Carol Coleman, Myrtle Beach planning director and Kruea.

According to the records, Pedersen makes nearly $180,000 and is the top payed city employee.

Gall, who makes almost $150,000, announced his retirement in May. He stopped his day-to-day activities shortly before the Memorial Day Bikefest rallies, but remains a consultant to the city until November, according to a statement that announced his retirement.

Prock was sworn in as police chief in July after serving as interim chief after Gall stepped down, and makes $110,000 a year.

Mayor John Rhodes makes $50,000, the document shows.

Documents show that about 22 city employees make over $100,000, seven make between $100,000 and $90,000, and 24 make between $90,000 and $80,000.
