Here’s when it will finally start to feel like fall along the Grand Strand
Humidity has plagued the Grand Strand all week, but weather authorities say a crisp cool down is finally on the horizon.
This weekend the unseasonable warmth will continue, then temperatures should start to drop on Tuesday, according to a weather brief from Michael Colby with the National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C.
A mix of clouds and sunshine is expected this weekend as winds spread humid sea air and clouds onshore, the brief states.
Highs will be in the 79 to 82 range Saturday, and they’ll be even warmer Sunday, ranging from 81 to 85.
“Winds will turn southerly Sunday as high pressure slips offshore, with clouds and sun remaining in the mix,” Colby’s brief states.
Heavy downpours aren’t anticipated, but some brief showers could develop.
It will finally begin to feel like the fall season early next week with highs going from about 80 degrees Monday down to about 70 on Tuesday, according to a NWS online forecast.
Highs will be in 70s throughout the week, the forecast shows.
