Grand Strand may not see Hurricane Jose, but area beaches will still feel effects
Hurricane Jose may be passing by the Carolinas, but the Grand Strand will still feel some effects from the storm.
Area beaches will see some hazardous beach conditions, including deadly rip currents caused by swells from the hurricane, lasting through Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Navigation in and out of inlets will be difficult due to high surf.
Throughout the weekend highs will be in the mid to lower 80s and lows will be in the middle to upper 60s.
Hurricane Jose remain over 300 miles from the coast.
