One year ago today: Police continue to investigate Heather Elvis case

Horry County investigators returned to a Myrtle Beach area boat landing Friday as part of their ongoing investigation into the Heather Elvis case, Lt. Robert Kegler said.

Officers were conducting a forensic reenactment at Peachtree Boat Landing where arrest warrants released earlier this week said the 20-year-old was kidnapped and killed.

Authorities released few details about the follow-up at the boat landing.

Divers with the S.C. Department of Natural Resources were in the water at the landing and multiple officers including those from area police departments and the State Law Enforcement Division were at the scene.
