Loris High remembers brothers who died in wreck
Many Loris High School students wore red Friday in honor of Miles Waddell, a 17-year-old junior who died Dec. 30 after sustaining injuries in a vehicle wreck three days before Christmas. Waddell's 26-year-old brother Chris also died in the crash. This week students set up tributes at Miles Waddell's parking space at the school. Teachers built memorials in their classrooms. Students are also planning to start a chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions, which encourages teens not to drink and drive or text and drive. Police say the driver of the SUV that hit the Waddell brothers' Jeep Cherokee was intoxicated.
