Lanes on Robert Edge Parkway shutdown due to vehicle fire

Eastbound lanes on Robert Edge Parkway are shut down near U.S. 17 due to a vehicle fire, according to an alert from the North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety.

Officials are encouraging drivers to use an alternate route.
