A North Myrtle Beach man has been sentenced to prison after entering a plea to sexually assaulting three girls, according to a press release from the Conway Police Department.

Bryan Dean Furman, 59, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor between the ages of 11 and 14, and third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 16.

Officials said that Furman entered the plea under N.C. versus Alford, where the defendant does not admit guilt, but knows that the jury is likely to convict based on evidence presented.

Furman was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the second-degree criminal sexual charge, and 15 years in prison for the third-degree criminal sexual charge, the report states. The sentences will run concurrently, and Furman will be registered as a sex offender.
