Myrtle Beach tourist wins $125,000 from scratch-off ticket

One lucky Myrtle Beach tourist went home $125,000 richer after purchasing a winning scratch-off ticket.

The winner, who declined to share her name, said she bought the ticket on the last day of her vacation from the Sunhouse #9 on George Bishop Parkway in Myrtle Beach, according to a release.

The winner is a Georgia native, and bought the Stellar Winnings ticket around three weeks ago. After she went home, she returned to South Carolina last week to cash in the ticket, the release says.

“I was waiting for the perfect day,” the winner said. “I’ve got to come to South Carolina more.”

Sunhouse #9 in Myrtle Beach is receiving a $1,250 commission now that the winnings have been claimed.

Two top prizes of $125,000 remain in the $5 Stellar Winnings game, at odds of 1 in 480,000, according to the release.
