Myrtle Beach police are investigating a three-car collision at 21st Avenue North and Kings Highway that involved a man with a gunshot wound.
Steven Lundy said he saw the gun-metal gray BMW sedan following a white Buick sedan, going about 100 mph down 21st Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. When he got to the intersection with Kings Highway, he saw the Buick had crashed into the back of an SUV and the BMW had struck the Buick.
Shawn Doublet said he saw a white man step out of the driver’s seat of the BMW and stagger a few steps before falling down on the pavement. The man had suffered what appeared to be a fresh gunshot wound to his chest, Doublet said.
Doublet, who served in the military, treated the man’s wounds until police and medics arrived.
Witnesses on scene say the woman exited her car screaming the man was trying to kill her after the wreck.
The man was transported from the scene by EMS.
