Red Cross helping family displaced by morning fire

The American Red Cross is assisting a family displaced after a fire ripped through a Myrtle Beach home Sunday morning.

Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue responded to the fire at a home on Southern Pines Drive.

Red Cross disaster-trained volunteers are helping two adults from the home with financial assistance for food, clothing, lodging and other essentials and comfort kits containing personal hygiene items, according to a release from the agency.
