Crew in Little River strikes gas line

Horry County Fire Rescue capped a gas leak after a construction crew in the Little River area struck a gas line while digging, according to Brian VanAernam with HCFR.

The crew hit the line about 11 a.m. in the area of Pinebrook Circle and U.S. 17, according to VanAernam who said a crew responded to the gas leak along with the South Carolina Electric and Gas.

VanAernam said the leak was fixed and crews were clearing the scene around 11:45 a.m. No one was injured in the incident, according to VanAernam.
