More than 111,000 still without power in Horry, Georgetown
More than 60,000 local Santee Cooper customers and nearly 51,000 Horry Electric customers were still without power Sunday night as a result of the forceful winds of Hurricane Matthew Saturday.
The 50,940 Horry Electric customers represent a portion of the more than 232,000 electric cooperative consumers across the state without power. That’s down from a peak of 300,000 on Saturday evening.
Santee Cooper still reported 60,290 without power in Horry and Georgetown counties.
