Need sandbags or ride to a shelter? Georgetown has residents covered

Sandbags are now available at 8 Oaks Park in Georgetown County until 5 p.m. Friday or until supplies run out, according to Jackie Broach, Georgetown County spokeswoman.

The limit is 10 per household, and those asking for bags must show proof of county residency, Broach said.

Shuttle service to the shelter at Andrews Elementary School at 13072 County Line Rd. in Georgetown County will end Friday at 5 p.m.

The North and South Causeway to Pawleys Island will close at 5 p.m. Friday and remain closed throughout Saturday. Georgetown bridges will remain open, Broach said.
