A restaurant located along the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk is the latest to close after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

As of Monday at 3:30 p.m., The Claw House was closed until further notice as it underwent deep cleaning and was fully sanitized, according to a Facebook post by restaurant owner Charlie Campbell.

“Due to our quest for a safe environment for our staff and customers, The Claw House will close for the day immediately as we have been advised of a positive Covid 19 test result for one of our current staff members,” Campbell wrote. “A deep cleaning crew is en route for a complete restaurant sanitation. We advise everyone of this due to our commitment to full transparency.”

Campbell said the restaurant will reopen as soon as he is satisfied that the eatery is “fully sanitized to our high standards.”
