SC releases nursing homes with COVID cases, here are the Grand Strand ones on the list

Two Grand Strand care facilities have positive coronavirus cases, according to South Carolina health officials.

One of the facilities is in Horry County and the other is in Georgetown County, according to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. The two facilities are:

  • Bethesda Mothers Home 701 S. Hwy., Loris, a community residential care facility
  • Tideland Waccamaw Encompass Helath, 4070 U.S. Highway 17 Bypass in Murrells Inlet, a rehab facility

Both facilities have one positive COVID-19 case among the staff or the residents, according to state health officials.

Dozens of nursing homes and rehab facilities across the state are on the list, with Heartland Health and Rehabilitation Care Center in Hanahan having the most with 57 coronavirus cases.

Throughout Horry County there are are a total of 189 positive coronavirus cases and Georgetown County has 33 cases, according to the latest data presented Tuesday afternoon.
