The Myrtle Beach area confirmed coronavirus cases decreased. Here’s why

Horry County’s total confirmed coronavirus cases decreased by one on Wednesday, according to the latest release from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

That’s right, one confirmed case in Horry County was removed and no new cases were announced. The removed case was determined to be in another county.

No new deaths were announced locally either.

The first coronavirus case was confirmed a month ago on March 15. Since then, Horry County has had 150 cases confirmed. Except for today, the case total increased every day for a month.

Still, South Carolina’s confirmed cases grew by 105 cases to a total of 3,656. Statewide, there have been 107 deaths due to the virus.
