Watch how these Myrtle Beach restaurant workers used TikTok to encourage to-go orders

Like all Americans, Monique Frazier’s life has changed greatly in a matter of weeks. The fact she’s a bartender has made her transition to life during the coronavirus pandemic even greater.

Her response? Have a little fun while making the best out of a tough situation.

Frazier on Sunday posted a TikTok video on her Facebook page that shows her and four co-workers dancing at the LongHorn restaurant located near Coastal Grand Mall in an effort to show customers they are open for business via to-go orders.

“TikTok has become so popular, so my co-worker, Tajah Outar, and I came up with the idea to film a TikTok video with our LongHorn team,” Frazier said. “We even got our Managing Partner, Jami Ritchey, involved! And believe it or not – we recorded the video in one take!”

The LongHorn employees made the video just days after S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster ordered all restaurants to close dining rooms and resort to only curbside and to-go business to help with social distancing in hopes of lessening the spread of COVID-19.

“As we shifted to offering to-go service for our guests, I was thinking outside of the box on how our team can have some fun showing our community that we’re open and here to serve them,” Frazier said.

The group did a dance performance to Wiz Khalifa’s “Something New” featuring Ty Dolla $ign in line with similar ones that have been popular on TikTok.

The video was posted to Outar’s TikTok account and, while she doesn’t have a big following on there as of now, it had more than 1,400 views on Facebook as of Tuesday evening. The video post has garnered 90 likes, 32 comments and 39 shares.

“I love my job here at LongHorn Steakhouse, and I love making our guests smile,” Frazier said. “LongHorn is truly my family, and I’m really honored to see how popular this video has become so quickly.”
