Horry County Fair, other Myrtle Beach Speedway events rescheduled amid coronavirus threat

Myrtle Beach Speedway is finally pumping the brakes.

The speedway — which kept its events going longer than essentially every other area sporting event amid the coronavirus outbreak — announced Tuesday that it is postponing its upcoming events at the track.

  • Spring Break MB Nationals have been moved from March 27-29 to May 8-10. Pre-registered cars and spectators will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled show. Anyone who would like to move to the July Summer Heat show must do so through info@mbspeedway.com
  • The fifth annual Horry County Fair has been moved from April 24-May 3 to May 1-10.
  • Races scheduled for April 11 and April 25 have been postponed with new dates to be announced.
  • Summer Heat MB Nationals are now scheduled for July 24-26.

“The safety, health and wellness of our guests are always the number 1 priority,” MBS stated in a Facebook post. “With the revised schedule we want you to feel confident and comfortable when visiting our outdoor speedway as enhanced sanitation standards are in place. For updates and more information along with the most current schedule please visit www.MBSpeedway.com.”
