DHEC announces additional coronavirus case reported in Horry County, Myrtle Beach area

One additional coronavirus case has been confirmed in Horry County on Wednesday, according to the latest information from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

The total known, confirmed cases in Horry County has now risen to five since the first case was announced on Sunday. So far there have been no deaths from a Horry County patient.

Across South Carolina there are now 60 confirmed cases with one death reported as officials work to test more people who may have contracted the virus.

The Center for Disease Control is asking all residents to limit their social interactions, wash their hands and do whatever you can to keep this disease from spreading. Restaurants and bars in South Carolina are dine-in or takeout only, closed to dine-in customers.
