New York to Myrtle Beach direct flights begin in June
American Airlines will begin nonstop flights between Myrtle Beach and New York’s LaGuardia Airport this summer, the Myrtle Beach International Airport announced Tuesday.
The service will begin on June 4 for Saturday and Sunday flights on a 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet 200, Pat Apone, director of airports for Horry County Department of Airports, said in a statement.
“We are thrilled American Airlines is introducing new service from New York LaGuardia to Myrtle Beach International Airport,” Apone said. “American Airlines existing service from Charlotte, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and now New York LaGuardia is exciting news for the airport and the traveling public.”
Flights will depart from LaGuardia at 9 a.m. Saturdays and arrive in Myrtle Beach at 11:34 a.m., and depart Myrtle Beach at 12:04 p.m. Sundays to arrive in New York by 2:22 p.m.
