Low-cost airline announces five new destinations for Myrtle Beach, SC for this summer

Spirit Airlines announced Wednesday it will add flights connecting five new destinations to Myrtle Beach starting this summer.

The expansion comes as many airlines like Spirit have heightened their focus on transporting people to and from vacation destinations. During the peak summer season, Spirit has nearly 30 daily departures from Myrtle Beach.

The airline is also bringing back four flights that it usually only operates during the summer.

“Lots of people are looking to head out to great leisure destinations like the South Carolina beaches this summer, and we’re excited to launch some new routes and resume others to help our guests get their fun in the sun,” Spirit’s vice president of network planning, John Kirby, said in a press release.
