A shopping center near a prominent Myrtle Beach area golf course and Publix recently sold.

The Prince Creek Shopping Village at 11920 South Carolina Highway 707 in Murrells Inlet sold for less than $6.4 million. The center is next to Publix and the nearby TPC Myrtle Beach golf course. According to Horry County Land Records, the less than seven-acre shopping center last sold for less than $4.9 million in September 2019.

The commercial real estate firm NAI Merin Hunter Codman, Inc. announced the sale in a press release. The press release added that Zapolski Real Estate, LLC purchased the retail site through its affiliate company, Prince Creek Investments, LLC. Firm principal, Todd Zapolski said the firm has assets in South Carolina and didn’t intend to re-develop or renovate the relatively new property.

He emphasized making sure the shopping center remained “a strong asset.”

“(We) like the market and its got a very strong growth picture,” Zapolski said. “There’s not much to do with it. Just maintain it, keep it looking like it is. We don’t have a certain timetable that we will hold it. We’ve held properties for 20 years. We’ve held properties a year, and it depends on what’s going on.”

It’s not the only retail center in Murrells Inlet that’s drawing attention.

Demolition recently started on the Inlet Square Mall in Murrells Inlet, as construction equipment started work near Planet Fitness at 10123 Highway 17 Bypass North in October 2024. Paramount Development Corporation owns the mall site and plans to convert the mall into a retail center with a hotel and possible residential component.
