Grand Strand offices, homes and land sold at auction
An Atlanta-based auction company sold $3 million worth of bank-owned property in South and North Carolina in two days of sales in Greensboro and Myrtle Beach, including at least eight properties along the Grand Strand, according to a spokesman for auctioneers John Dixon and Associates.
All of the dozens of properties that sold were bank-owned foreclosures, but Dixon spokesman Carl Carter declined to name the bank.
In total, the sale fetched approximately $3 million.
Local properties that sold included a couple of land tracts in the Conway area, a restaurant in Murrells Inlet, an office condominium on Glenns Bay Road, residential lots in Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island, a house in Sunset Beach, N.C., and a 58,000-square-foot warehouse in Loris.
The two auctions attracted 165 bidders.
