HGTV is in the Windy Hill section of North Myrtle Beach this weekend filming a segment for Beachfront Bargain Hunt, said Brandon Brookshire, co-owner of Carolina Strand Realty.

Brookshire said the television network contacted his boutique agency asking if it had a buyer that met its criteria.

It did, and the two plus the condominium’s owners decided on this weekend for filming.

The filming was to be done over four, 12-hour days and is expected to be broadcast this fall or next spring.

The couple from Charlotte, N.C., purchased the oceanfront condominium last year. Brookshire said the condominium was listed for $169,000 but sold for $145,000 because it needed significant updating.

He said the Charlotte couple gutted and completely renovated the 1,300-square-foot condominium.

Before and after pictures are to be part of the broadcast, Brookshire said.

He and Carolina Strand partner Mark Hardee hope the television exposure will help to bring business to their agency.
