StarTek’s Myrtle Beach area call center hiring 300 part-time workers
A Carolina Forest call center will hire 300 temporary workers with a starting pay of $10 per hour, according to a news release.
StarTek, which opened in 2014 with the promise of hiring 615 full-time employees, needs the temporary staff to help the company with a “global information services client,” the release said.
Those interested in applying can receive an “on-the-spot interview” at the company’s office on 310 Hinson Drive, according to the release. Online applications may be submitted to www.startek.com/careers. Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. A background check is also required.
“We value employees who are passionate about providing a great customer experience while promoting and protecting our client’s brand,” Chris Black, StarTek’s local site director, said in the release.
StarTek first made headlines in the Myrtle Beach area in 2013 when the company announced it would create 615 full-time jobs over a three-year period and maintain that workforce through 2019.
So far, the company has hired 341 full-time employees, according to Horry County Government’s latest jobs report.
