Amazon building a new facility in Myrtle Beach area. It will be second to open

The Grand Strand will see its second Amazon facility after construction has begun on a delivery station in the Carolina Forest area.

The new delivery station will be located on Postal Way across from Chatham Village, a community of homes.

A delivery station is described as the last distribution hub where Amazon packages are sorted and prepared before they are delivered directly to customers’ homes or businesses.

The delivery station is expected to “create dozens of local jobs and support efforts to provide fast delivery and great service to local customers,” said Owen Torres, Amazon spokesperson, by email.

Details on when the facility will be completed were not shared. Torres said that Amazon will “keep the community apprised of launch updates, hiring initiatives, and more.”

Amazon paid more than $6.2 million in November 2025 for the 27-acre property, according to Horry County land records.

This will be the second Amazon facility built in Horry County in more than a year.

The shipping company opened a same-day delivery facility on Water Tower Road in North Myrtle Beach in 2024. The facility is located in the Palmetto Coast Industrial Park.
