SC pizza place that closed due to ‘decline in the quality’ reopening soon

A Myrtle Beach pizza place that closed last month after new management took over will reopen under original ownership.

Cafe Vincenzo’s, 7710 N Kings Hwy, plans to reopen the first week of September, with the grand reopening happening on Sept. 5, said owner Vincenzo Panzarino.

Panzarino said he hired a third-party management company to run his restaurant in September 2024 after he got busy with his new construction business. But after the management company broke several contract stipulations, Panzarino decided to temporarily close the restaurant at the end of July.

“It basically made the quality decline because things changed,” Panzarino said. He did not say what the previous management changed. “I was not happy about what happened.”

Cafe Vincenzo’s first opened in 2022. The restaurant serves pizza baked in a brick-oven, pasta and main courses like veal marsala.

Before opening, Panzarino is making some changes to the menu, including revamping the cocktail menu and tweaking the original food menu. When Cafe Vincenzo’s reopens, he said to expect the restaurant to be similar but improved since Panzarino has learned more about running a restaurant.

“I just want people to know, what people experienced when we first opened, people will experience that again but better,” Panzarino said. EDITOR’S NOTE: This story was updated to reflect the menu offers veal marsala. (Updated: 9:10 a.m., Aug. 18, 2025)
