New high-tech assisted living facility coming to Murrells Inlet
A new assisted living facility with amenities such as a salon and movie theater is coming to Murrells Inlet.
Atlanta-based Thrive Senior Living announced this week that its assisted living and memory care center is under construction at the corner of S.C. 707 and Prince Creek Parkway.
The 89-unit development will offer apartments, a fitness center, a salon and even a movie theater and spa, the release said.
“While there are some great providers of senior care in Murrells Inlet, the market has grown tremendously over the past 10 years and hasn’t seen a truly innovative new alternative,” Jeramy Ragsdale, CEO of Thrive Senior Living, said in the release. “I look forward to seeing people’s reaction to this new community. It will not line up with the traditional perception of senior living, and that’s the goal.”
The facility will emphasize technology in its record-keeping and healthcare.
“Physicians and pharmacists will have instant access to ‘real time’ analysis of a resident’s complete health picture, allowing a more holistic approach to care,” the release said.
Thursday’s ground-breaking ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. and U.S. Rep. Tom Rice, R-Myrtle Beach, will be the guest speaker.
