Cherry Grove’s grill and ice cream shop next to the beach quietly closed. What we know
A to Z Chillin-N-Grillin, found next to the beach in Cherry Grove, closed with little fanfare this year.
The grill and ice cream shop has been at 201 Sea Mountain Highway for many years. Before Chillin-N-Grillin it was called Dairy King.
As of Dec. 16, the inside of the building has been emptied out and a “closed” sign was hung up on the door. There was also a “For lease by owner” sign on the back of the building.
The Sun News was unable to get in contact with the business owner before publication. It’s unclear when the restaurant officially closed. The last online review was written on Yelp in July 2024.
The former owner’s sister location, The Old Georgetown Creamery, was bought this year by Randy Wolfe.
When it was open, Chillin-N-Grillin served foods like chicken strips, cheese steaks, burgers and ice cream.
