The Myrtle Beach Airport just announced new direct flights to this city. What we know

Starting this spring, there will now be an even easier way for New Englanders to visit the Grand Strand.

According to a media release from Myrtle Beach International Airport spokesperson, Lauren Wehrung, Avelo Airlines will begin twice-a-week direct routes on Mondays and Fridays from Myrtle Beach to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

The new flights are scheduled to start this coming April 4, the release said.

And, the starting fare is expected to cost $64 a ticket, according to Wehrung.

“We are excited to announce that nonstop flights to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport will be available soon. This marks the third destination introduced by Avelo since they began operations at MYR in 2022,” Judi Olmstead, director of airports, said in the release. “Manchester is a well-established market with strong demand but is currently without nonstop flight options to Myrtle Beach. These new flights will offer excellent opportunities for travelers, and we appreciate Avelo for being a valued partner in expanding convenient and affordable travel options to the Grand Strand.”

Last month, Allegiant Air also announced three new direct flights in and out of the Myrtle Beach Airport.

Those new flights are scheduled to begin in May 2025.
