New taproom and arcade to open in Pawleys Island, SC. It will feature local food trucks

The owners of Quigley’s Pint and Plate plan to open a new taproom and arcade in Pawleys Island.

The Quad, 1067 Petigru Dr., will look different than other ventures put together by Josh Quigley and Billy Davis, Quigley said. Instead of a kitchen, the Quad will feature local food trucks that rotate. There will also be beer and wine available, with various kinds from South Carolina to choose from.

The property has a large warehouse-type building and a large amount of outdoor space, including a green area and a covered patio. Patrons will be able to play games like corn hole, pinball, pool and darts.

“I want it to be family orientated, not a bar scene,” Quigley said. “If a family is coming, there’s stuff for kids to do.”

Quigley was originally planning to open a similar space in Murrells Inlet around 2020 but said the COVID-19 pandemic and increased price of building costs made it unfeasible. Then he came across the current Quad property and decided to create his warehouse-hang-out space there.

He renovated the building and laid out the land for the Quad. He said there’s enough space for people to host private parties or weddings.

The Quad is expected to open in December and will likely run from noon to 9 p.m. for five days a week, Quigley said.

“I’m excited to feature and rotate local food trucks, give a platform to local businesses and support the craft beer scene in South Carolina,” Quigley said.
