New McDonald’s restaurant to open in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Where will it be located?
A new McDonald’s is being built in the Myrtle Beach area, adding a store to a neighborhood that is currently lacking one, according to Horry County land records.
The fast food restaurant is being built near the intersection of Forestbrook Road and Fantasy Harbour Boulevard, close to U.S. 501. Across the street is a Dunkin’ and Food Lion complex.
Permits for a new McDonald’s have been filed, including for sprinklers and a subdivision, according to Horry County land records.
It’s unclear when the international chain will open this location. A spokesperson for McDonald’s could not be reached before publication.
McDonald’s is currently working to expand its business and open nearly 10,000 more restaurants by 2027, according to a press release. This means opening restaurants in the United States and countries across the world.
There are currently around 15 McDonald’s located in the Myrtle Beach area, which includes Garden City, Loris and Conway.
