New Asian restaurant opened in Carolina Forest. It serves sushi, noodles and stir fry
A new Asian restaurant has opened in Carolina Forest, serving Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine.
Flaming Fin, 154 Sapwood Road, is one of the newest restaurant in the Carolina Forest area. It’s located near the Publix and River Oaks Pizzeria.
The Flaming Fin has an extensive sushi menu, ranging from deep fried rolls, signature rolls and sashimi, according to their website. Prices range from $5 for a roll to $25 for a roll, with signature rolls being between $10 to $20.
Along with sushi, there is Thai curry, pad thai and udon noodles, among other entrees. There will also be fresh seafood, said owner Annie Zheng.
“I wanted more choices for customers,” Zheng said. “Everyone is different.”
Zheng, who opened Dragon Pan in 2014, said she decided to open the new restaurant because her customers have requested new foods. Her sister has experience with sushi so they decided to open a sushi restaurant together.
The Flaming Fin is currently in a “soft launch” phase as the bar gets set up and servers are trained, Zheng said. She hopes to have a grand opening within the next week or so. They officially opened on June 12.
General manager Charity Rudolph said customers have to try the sushi. She said the sushi is high quality.
“I’m not able to find another sushi place like this,” Rudolph said.
The Flaming Fin is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
